Pakistan Youth Parliament for the 2024 session


The Department of Public Administration takes immense pride in declaring the selection of two outstanding final-year students, Bakhtawar Mushtaq and Zainab Tariq, as esteemed members of the Pakistan Youth Parliament for the 2024 session. These exceptional individuals will proudly represent their constituencies with dedication and excellence throughout the upcoming year. Youth Parliament Pakistan is an initiative of PILDAT - Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency - a Pakistani think tank which promotes democracy. The aim of YPP is to make youth aware of the global, national and local developments; inform them of their rights and duties as citizens (or persons of origin) of Pakistan and the globe; prepare them to be productive and responsible citizens who are tolerant towards beliefs and viewpoints which are different from their own. The sessions will involve various political and socio-political education activities, consisting of plenary discussions with renowned leaders and experts in their respective fields. Activities will consist of courses, group discussions, engagement with experts, leaders and officials, surveys, parliamentary-style debates etc.
